Located on Spokane’s South Hill, Izumi Sushi is a vibrant and immersive dining experience shaped through the complete transformation of a 3,700-square-foot space, including a commercial kitchen and outdoor patio. Designed by Uptic Studios, the remodel delivers a bold and atmospheric environment, blending rich wood tones, dynamic lighting, and a dramatic palette of blue and black to echo the refined energy of modern sushi culture. The interior layout is carefully orchestrated to offer both intimacy and openness, with a variety of seating options framed by custom millwork, acoustic ceiling elements, and layered lighting that shifts from ambient to accent. Uptic led the architectural, interior design, and engineering efforts from concept through construction, creating a cohesive identity that carries from the illuminated entry to the signature wall graphics and sculptural light fixtures throughout. The result is a space that balances function and flair—an inviting and elevated dining venue for the Spokane community.
